Golden Amber

Running for hours none stop brought Golden Amber to a canyon on the edge of a forest. She sighed as she saw the water and walked down to get a cool drink. Her parents were killed at Sight-No and Amber had run away from the land never to return. She sighed as she looked down at her refelction in the water, she had marks where her tears were and her eyes were slightly bloodshot. She looked around now after tasting the cool water and when she saw no one she went over to a nearby bush and started to graze from it.

Mistwing lands lightly in the canyon and drinks.

Golden Amber heard flapping sounds and when she turned around she saw a beautiful pegasus drinking from the stream. "He...Hello." She stuttered. She had never seen a pegasus before.

MIstwing looks over surprised, then smiles at Golden Amber. "Hello."

Amber had only talked to her parents and now taht they were gone she felt shy. Not knowing what to say she looked up at the sky and watched as a bird flew by.

Mistwing smiles. "My name is Mistwing."

Golden Amber looked back at the mare as she spoke. Pretty name. She thought but instead replied. "My name is Golden Amber." She muttered.

Mistwing dips her head. "A pleasure to meet you, Golden Amber."

Golden Amber nodded to the mare and started to drink, not fully sure if she trusted this pegacorn or not.

Mistwing lowers her head and snatches up a bit of grass, then lifts her head again.

Golden Amber walked off a little distance away and watched the mare from there, making sure she didn't try anything.

((It'll be hard to get Amber to talk, she's a challenge.))

MIstwing walks over to the stream, then lies down, letting the wtaer wash over the gashes the cougar had left in her shoulders.

Amber quietly stood feeling the wind pass through her mane. She looked down at Mistwing and saw wounds on her body. I wonder what happened She thought but she didn't move from her spot.

(hmmm, never got an e-mail saying there was a reply...)

Mistwing glances up at her. "Cougar."

Amber looked at the pegasus in wonder. "How did you know what I was thinking?"

Mistwing smiles. "I did not read your mind, only your look. I have been hurt and asked enough times to read a look fairly well."

Golden Amber looked at the pegasus again but then turned and trotted to the river to eat some of the sweet grass that grew there. She didn't speak a word and just ate the wonderfully tasting grass.

Mistwing smiles, then drops her head.

Amber, getting bored with the situation, looked around at the canyon and then started walking towards the cliff to leave.

Mistwing stands up and beats her wings a couple times, drying them. "Watch out for Tra-La-La."

Amber glanced at the pegasus and only spoke one single word. "Why?"

Mistwing frowns. "Because that is where I was greeted by claws as soon as my hooves touched the ground."

Amber turned and continued walking. "It won't be the first time I've seen claws." She muttered to herself as she had a flashback of her past.

Mistwing watches her go, then lifts up her wings to fly.
